Writing songs and righting wrongs

About

Bio

So, you wanna know about me? Really?

Yeah nah, didn’t think so.

For starters, I’m way too old to be interesting. Way too old to be doing this really.

Besides, don’t let the photos fool you, I am spectacularly uncool. I have a proper day job. Like a career day job, not like retail and hospo while I’m waiting for music to pan out. Like I said, I’m too old for that. I just can’t stop writing music so here we are I guess.

Back in the day I played in bands with a bunch of other wonderful weirdos. We worked shitty jobs and had a blast. But we never “made it”.

We had lots of fun, travelled around Australia, I even ended up in Nashville for a while which was brilliant. I learnt more about songwriting there in six months than in the 10 years before that.

I finally ended up in Brisbane, where at least you can still see live music, and afford to live which is nice.

I still write songs. And sing them. Partly because I can’t not, my brain just seems to create these bits and pieces without my permission. But also because it’s still fun, which is also nice.

Getting old is a privilege that not everyone gets to have, so while I’m lucky enough to have it I’m definitely going to make it fun. And if for some reason you’re still here and reading this, you may as well go listen to some of my music, maybe you’ll find it fun too.
